Brand-new, day four, and a benign neck lump has me antsy

Hi everyone, I’m very new here — started my first week and I’ve been mostly lurking because I don’t want to ask something silly. I have a known benign thyroid nodule that gets checked once a year, and I mentioned it before starting.

My clinician didn’t seem worried, but I’m the type who notices every little swallow and then wonders if I’m imagining things.

Concrete thing I’m doing: a small note on my phone each morning — just “neck feels normal / a little tight / same as yesterday” — plus my resting heart rate from my watch. Four days in, everything looks boring, which I guess is good.

I’m not asking anyone to tell me if this is safe; I’ll keep that with my doctor. I’d just love to hear from anyone else who started with a benign nodule in the picture.

Did you keep extra notes, or did you find it better to stop checking so often? Thanks for being gentle with a week-one nervous person.
