I can hold a whole note again, and nobody told me to expect that

Posting this because it's not one of the wins I read about before starting. I've been walking 30 minutes on weekdays since March, and somewhere around the 40-pound mark I noticed I could sing an entire verse of a song I like while driving, windows up, without stopping mid-line for air.

Same song, same commute a year ago, and I had to pick between words and breathing.

Nothing dramatic about it. My resting heart rate sits maybe 7-8 bpm below where it used to be, which could be the walking, the weight, or some mix of both, and I genuinely can't separate those out.

I just haven't seen breath posted as a marker anywhere, so I'm wondering if it's common and simply not the kind of thing people write down.

For anyone who noticed something similar: did it arrive gradually or in one gap where you suddenly weren't winded? And did you file it under fitness or under having less body to haul around?
