Longtime lurker, been around here since 2022 under a boring username. Yesterday's weigh-in pushed my running total into triple-digit pounds lost from my highest recorded number. No ceremony for it — it happened in a Tuesday-morning kitchen, half-awake, after an ordinary night of sleep and an ordinary dinner.
What caught me off guard is how flat it felt. For two years the whole thing was a number, and now that it's here, the parts I actually care about are duller: the same 20-minute walk after lunch I've kept since last fall, a resting heart rate sitting in the low 60s, five meals on rotation I could make with my eyes closed.
The scale just caught up to habits that were already there.
For the folks who've been past their goal for a while — how long did it take before the milestone stopped reading as a finish line and started reading as just another Tuesday? I keep waiting on a feeling that hasn't shown up yet.
