Abstract
The pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, clinical efficacy, adverse effects, and dosage and administration of thymosin alpha-1 (TA1) are reviewed.. TA1 is a synthetic polypeptide.. The drug is in Phase III trials for the treatment of hepatitis C and in Phase II trials for hepatitis B.
